The Macanudo Cafe cigar is an icon in the industry, rolled in the Temple Hall Estate facory in Jamaica starting in 1971 under the care Ramon Cifuentes. Generations have since been trained in the meticulous process pioneered by Cifuentes to uphold the consistency, quality, and flavor of one of the worlds best selling hand made cigars.
The cigar starts with a Connecticut Shade wrapper grown in the Connecticut River Valley and aged 3 years, each leaf is checked for proper thickness and appearance. The Mexican San Andrean binder and Dominican fillers are scrutinized for quality and consistency along with proper fermentation and then aged for 2 years.
The result of the attention to detail results in a smooth and mellow cigar, with hints of nuts and vanilla with a subtle spice that always keeps it interesting. Whether you are a seasoned aficionado or just starting out, the Macanudo Cafe line of cigars is sure to be a delight for your taste buds.
In 2005 Macanudo Hyde Park was ranked number 21 on Cigar Aficianado's Top 25 Cigar's of the Year with a 90 point score.
